Apple Releases Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station 7.3.2 Update

timecapsule.jpg

Last night, Apple released its Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express Base Station with 802.11n* Firmware 7.3.2 update, a 4 megabyte download which offers bug fixes for the wireless communication system and router/backup device.

The update requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to install and run and requires AirPort Utility 5.3.1 or later to install.

As always, if you've done the guinea pig thing and tried the new update already, please let us know how it went for you over in the comments or forums.

Updated... Running my Extreme (FastEthernet version) in bridged mode, 5GHz, N only. Easy update, no new options seemingly. Ran iperf across it and no change in performance... I love the insight Apple gives us on these updates.

Mixed experience for me : 7.3.2 update to 1 TB Time Capsule works well on an iMac 20 inch white Power PC but makes my iMac 24 inch Intel go into a kernel panic each time Time Machine does a back-up, Both computers worked fine in 10.5.3 and before Airport upgrade but the new one chokes on 10.5.4 and 7.3.2
