Rogers Cedes on iPhone Price Plans, Offers 6GB of Data for CAN$30/Month

Maybe it was out of the goodness of their hearts or tens of thousands of users basically screaming for their heads, but Rogers Wireless has revised its price plan to include a promotional offer of six gigabytes of data use on an iPhone for CAN$30/month.

It isn't quite an unlimited plan, but it's close and can be added on top of any regular voice plan. According to Engadget, the promotion will be available for iPhone buyers who activate with a three year contract before August 31.

In an attempt to put out additional fires and dispel rumors citing an iPhone 3G shortage, the carrier also announced that it would be hosting 8 AM launch day events at six Rogers Plus stores in major Canadian cities, complete with free breakfast.

And you can't go wrong with a free breakfast.

If you're up north and have heard anything on your end, let us know in the comments or forums.
