RuinediPhone.com Sets Up Petition to Protest Rogers Communications Pricing Plans, Policies (Updated)

Yesterday, we mentioned that a fair number of users were fairly irked by Rogers Communications' announced voice and data plans for the iPhone 3G. Today, web site RuinediPhone.com, has begun organizing a petition against the wireless carrier.
According to MacNN, over 28,000 commented signatures have been submitted asking for Rogers to impose fair plans and pricing in sync with plans seen in the United States and other countries.
The site contains information links to various Canadian government resources for users to browse regarding consumer rights, and information about bill C-551 regarding the regulation of wireless cell providers.
Dovetailing this, Rogers has sent out a notice informing its customers that they are not limited to strictly-defined iPhone data packages and will be able to sign up for a separate smartphone data plan. The carrier reminded users as to what was available, including a 300 megabyte plan for CAN$30 to a six gigabyte plan for CAN$100 as well as a CAN$50 Cad Flex Rate plan. The company also pointed out that users can also select a-la-carte from its feature sets, such as Caller ID (CAN$7).
If you've heard anything else on your end or have two cents to throw in about the petition, please let us know over in the comments or forums.

The site has been taken down in Canada apparently. I haven't been able to access ruinediphone.com since yesterday evening... I live in Ottawa.

Works for me now (7/1/8). Maybe you're using Roger's DSL?
