Apple Releases iPhone OS 2.0.1 Firmware Update

Late Monday, Apple posted its long-awaited iPhone OS 2.0.1 firmware update for the iPhone handsets. The update, according to the Apple Core, weighs in at 249 megabytes, is available via the iTunes software update when the iPhone is connected to the computer and is simply described as "bug fixes" with few specific details available.
Upon initial use of an updated iPhone 3G, performance seems a bit faster, as does syncing, though additional details will be posted as they become available.
If you've downloaded and installed the 2.0.1 update and played with it, please let us know what you think of it over in the comments or forums.
