Next-Gen MacBook Pro Image Leaked
Per the Apple Core, the following image was leaked through a site called tinypic.com. The image is purportedly from a new ad and is hosted on an anonymous image hosting site.
Whether it's valid or not, we'll leave it to you to decide, but the prevailing logic is that September 16th will be the Tuesday after Apple's current Back-to-School promotion ends, the perfect time for Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer's alluded "product transition" to take place.
Let us know what you think over in the comments or forums.

I fail to understand the logic of this strategy. I think the "going back to college" would have been a better time to introduce a new laptop computer. Why wait until the college people are already in school and already bought a computer, to introduce a new lineup. I myself have been waiting since they released the MacBook Air for the upgrade.

Because they use the promo to clear out inventories ahead of the new product introduction. Apple's goal is to sell people Mac platform products, and the current crop of Macs can do that.
