Apple Removes NDA Requirement for iPhone Developers

3giphone.jpg

This morning, Apple announced via a posting on its iPhone developer web site that the company has decided to discontinue the non-disclosure agreement preventing developers from discussing iPhone programming.

According to Macworld, the statement, which is addressed to the developer community, said that the company had originally inserted the NDA to protect Apple's intellectual property. Since the, the company has acknowledged that the result had placed too much of a burden on its developer community and “others interested in helping further the iPhone’s success.”

The company will reportedly issue a new agreement to developers covering released software, the new agreement lacking NDA clauses. Software and features that Apple has not yet released information on will continue to be covered by non-disclosure until their release.

If you've heard anything about this or your end or have an opinion on the NDA, let us know in the comments or forums.
