Potential Next-Gen MacBook Shots Leaked, Lower Price Point Mentioned

Following previous leaks, especially one concerning an alleged new MacBook Pro case, new shots have surfaced of what appears to be a new 13" MacBook case via Taiwanese web site Apple.pro. According to Electronista, the new images show an aluminum casing similar to that of a MacBook Air but thick enough to hold an entire array of ports as well as a slot-loading optical drive and room for a larger trackpad.

And since a picture's worth a thousand words:

In other news, Duncan Riley of the Inquisitor claims to have received details of a significantly expanded price list for a new MacBook range that adds four new price points, including a higher US$3,100 option as well as a new, lower US$800 price point. If accurate, this could imply the use of less expensive parts as well as a potential new model for the notebook.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available and let us know what you think over in the comments or forums.
