Mozilla releases Firefox 3.6.6 update

Over the weekend, Mozilla.org released version 3.6.6 of its Firefox web browser. The new version, an 18.7 megabyte download, sports the following major change:

- Firefox 3.6.6 modifies the crash protection feature to increase the amount of time that plugins are allowed to be non-responsive before being terminated.

Firefox 3.6.6 is available in more than 70 different languages and requires a G3, G4, G5 or Intel-based Mac, Mac OS X 10.4 or later and 128MB of RAM to install and run. If you’ve snagged the new version and have any feedback to offer about it, let us know in the comments.

    In my opinion, I think it became faster and crashes are almost non-existent (meaning I didn't had any). I still prefer firefox compared to other browsers.

    Much faster. Firefox is starting to get good again.

    I upgraded from 3.5.9 to 3.6.4 over the weekend and FireFox now crashes fairly regularly. I use it for an hour, and it will randomly take one core to 100% and then after about 10 instances of that, just crashes. No crash reporter either. Very annoying.

    Great, I download 3.6.4. and my productivity drops to freaking ZERO. Then I get wind of an update and after it downloads, it keeps saying, FIREFOX can't apply this update. And something about downloading the whole update next time. This keeps happening. Unbelievable…. had a browser that worked ok, now not at all.
