Apple releases iOS 9.2.1, OS X 10.11.3 updates

They’re not huge updates according to Apple, but they could make a difference.

Apple on Tuesday released iOS 9.2.1 and OS X 10.11.3, the company stating that both updates contain security and bug fixes.

More specifically, iOS 9.2.1 contains a fix for an issue “that could prevent the completion of app installation when using an MDM server.”

No one’s really heard of Li-Fi, but it sounds amazing.

And it sounds like it could be part of the way your iPhone communicates with the rest of the world.

A study of recent iOS code from iOS 9.1 and beyond has found references to Li-Fi, an experimental high-speed wireless networking protocol that uses pulses of light to transmit data and is being marketed as a long-term replacement for Wi-Fi.

Beginning with iOS 9.1, the operating system’s library cache file makes mention of “LiFiCapability” alongside other hardware and software capability declarations. The change was spotted by Twitter user Chase Fromm.

GOP frontrunner, questionable billionaire, person who will say anything and outright failure that walks like a man Donald Trump, speaking at Liberty University yesterday, claimed he would reclaim lost U.S. manufacturing jobs if elected President, criticizing Apple in the process.

“We have such amazing people in this country: smart, sharp, energetic, they’re amazing,” Trump said. “I was saying make America great again, and I actually think we can say now, and I really believe this, we’re gonna get things coming… we’re gonna get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries.”
