Rumor: iPhone 7 to feature edge-to-edge display, other features

The idea of an edge-to-edge screen on the iPhone 7 is a concept at this point.

But it’s a pretty cool concept, you have to admit.

The current rumor has it that the iPhone 7 will sport a very similar look to the iPhone 6s line, an assortment of major form factor changes arriving in 2017. As of late, blogger John Gruber dropped some “scuttlebutt” over on his The Talk Show podcast, the rumors including an edge-to-edge display that eliminates the top and bottom bezels on the device, with the front-facing camera, Touch ID, and other sensors hidden under the display.

Google releases Gboard, a third-party keyboard app, for iOS

Google is now offering a third-party keyboard for iOS.

Since iOS 8, Apple has supported third-party keyboards for iOS, each with their own unique features. As such, Google has released Gboard for iOS, a third-party keyboard that also incorporates a search functionality.

Third-party keyboards can be accessed from any app and Gboard features a dedicated Google Search function right from the keyboard. This means you can search Google from Messages, Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere else you can type on iOS without leaving that specific app. Google’s pitch here is that it minimizes the need to switch between various apps and rely on copy and paste to grab information.
