Rumor: Twitter looking to prevent web links, images, from eating into 140-character limit

This might come in handy.

Twitter might be moving towards changes that allow you to tweet web links and images without it counting against the user’s 140-character limit.

In the past, Twitter reportedly toyed with this idea, but only made changes to direct message lengths. The current rumor is that the company is set to make the change, which would still allow just 140 characters but would no longer count images or links against that limit.

Leaked icons show progress on Siri for Mac, Siri integration expected in OS X 10.12

There’s nothing like a leaked icon and menu bar to let you know about something in development.

While rumors have indicated that Apple is developing Siri as a key feature for OS X 10.12, a new screenshot of the Siri app icon and menu bar suggest that Siri is closer than expected.

In the menu bar, there’s a simple Siri black and white icon that features the word “Siri” surrounded by a box, while the full dock icon is more colorful and features a colorful Siri waveform in the style of other built-in app icons. Clicking on either of the icons brings up a Siri waveform to give users a visual cue that the virtual assistant is listening for commands, much like on iOS devices when the Home button is held down.
