Apple releases macOS Sierra, iOS 10 final candidates

After weeks of betas, it looks like the macOS Sierra and iOS 10 final candidates are ready to go and available for download.

In a recent email release, Apple cited that the new operating systems’ final candidates are available for download and installation. These mark the final stop prior to being released as version 1.0

Apple announces Apple Watch Series 2, pre-orders to begin September 9th

Apple took the wrapping off the second-gen Apple Watch today during its media event.

The new unit, dubbed the “Apple Watch Series 2”, boasts a dual-core processor, a brighter display, swim-proof capabilities and built-in GPS. This new model has a redesigned speaker to make it water-resistant down to 50 meters. Other than that, this updated smartwatch looks near-identical to the first Apple Watch, now known as Apple Watch Series 1, which was only splash-proof.

Unfortunately, the new unit lacks the much-anticipated cellular connectivity, meaning you’ll still need to pair it to an iPhone for data-heavy operations and calls.

Apple announces iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus units at media event

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus handsets hit today.

And that may be why you see your neighbors gathering torches and pitchforks regarding the removal of the headphone jack today.

The new handsets boast a 64-bit four-core A10 Fusion processor, stereo speakers positioned on opposite ends of the device, a flush Force-sensitive home button with a Taptic Engine for haptic feedback, and IP67-standard water and dust resistance. As rumored, the headphone jack has been removed and Apple is offering a wired Lightning in-ear EarPod headphones and a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter are included in the box. Apple is offering Siri-enabled wireless earbuds called AirPods as a separate accessory, available for $159 in late October.
