It’s been a quiet trend, but it’s still worth noting.

Over the last few months, a number of companies, including Google, Amazon and eBay have pulled some of their Apple Watch apps from the App Store.

The programs, namely Google Maps, Amazon and eBay, were all early supporters of the Apple Watch and released apps within a few months of the wearable’s April 2015 debut.

The issue with swollen and expanded batteries on first-gen Apple Watch models has been documented online by users experiencing the problem— here on Apple support forums, for example, and on Reddit— but appears to not be widespread or something that has made mainstream media headlines.

In the age of Macs becoming more popular again, the amount of malware available for the macOS is on the rise.

According to the McAfee Labs, malware attacks on Apple’s Mac computers were up 744% in 2016, and its researchers have discovered nearly 460,000 Mac malware samples, which is still just a small part of overall Mac malware out in the wild.

The Malware Research team at CheckPoint has located a new piece of fully-undetectable Mac malware which apparently affects all versions of Mac OS X, has zero detections on VirusTotal and is “signed with a valid developer certificate (authenticated by Apple).”
