A NoBeige reader alerts us to the closing of Aiwa’s Computer Systems Division, which we confirmed at their Web site. They stopped their operations on 31 Oct 1999, but the upside of this is that you might be able to get one of their Mac tape drives for a close-out price since it is a discontinued product. For example, NoBeige was able to get one for US$99 at the MicroCenter sale over the weekend.
