You may love Flash Player or hate it, but the new versions can’t be ignored.

Late Tuesday, Adobe released Flash Player 10.2.152 for Mac OS X, a 7.6 megabyte download via MacUpdate. The new version functions essentially as a pre-release to version 10.2 and includes the following fixes and changes:

– General stability fixes.
– Additional audio and video fixes.

The full notes of the new version can be found here and Flash Player 10.2.152 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to install and run.

If you’ve tried the new version and have any feedback to offer, please let us know.

I’m running with a PCI 8400gs Nvidia card in Windows 7. The card is fast enough to decode compressed HD streams (will happily play 1080p h264 vid Win media player) but doesn’t seem to work too well on Flash 10.1. I tried the 10.2 beta and it happily accelerates 360,480 and 720p with no problem. However it drops back to software decode for 1080p and this is even slower than in 10.1 (I get 2-3 fps). Will 1080p be supported on the Nvidia PCI cards as a fair few people are using them in small PCs, HTPCs etc.?

having problems getting flash player to work. have same video card and win 7 pro 32 bit shows flash player 10.1 is loaded, but won’t play.

Same card exactly as you described. 8400GS PCi, falls back to software decode at 1080p, other modes offload to the GPU fine.
