Last week, in error, we reported that you could use any IEEE 802.11-compliant card to network with AirPort. Actually, you need a direct-sequence-spread-spectrum (DSSS) 802.11 card, and not a frequency-hopping (FHSS) card, such as the Proxim cards.
There are also many 2 Mbps cards such as PowerPage sponsor Farallon’s SkyLINE cards.
