Aloha from Kihei, Hawaii

PowerPage reader Rick, from Hawaii, says aloha and sends this tidbit about the city of Kihei:

Just thought it would be cool to let you know I live in the little city of Kihei, Hawaii. Kihei is located on the south side of the island of Maui. It is pronounced as “key hey.” Maui is a huge Mac user island. For an island with a population of 100,000 people and our own Macitosh only store, that tells you something. There’s not even a PC only store here. Around 5 months ago a VP of Apple was visiting Maui and staying in Kihei. His powerbook HD decided to break down on him. He took it to the Mac store here, and was up and running in a day. Hmmm, maybe thats the story of the name given to the Kihei iMacs.
