First, Apple released a one-line knowledgebase article acknowledging the white MacBook Palmrest discoloration (“About white MacBooks’ palmrest area” Article ID: 304058) stating that:

If your MacBook is exhibiting discoloration on the top case after some use, please contact AppleCare for service.

Now they’ve posted an official mea culpa acknowledging the MacBook Pro whine issue in, you guessed it, a one-line knowledge base article. (“MacBook Pro with noise under the keyboard” Article ID: 303365).

If your 15-inch MacBook Pro emits a high-pitched buzzing sound, please contact AppleCare for service.

What is up with these one-liners? Will software update articles soon be reduced to “it fixes lots of stuff?”
