Apple Magnetic Poetry Slam: Calling All Poets (Prizes!)

[Updated: We’re now offering a prize! Read on!]
So you went to Apple’s hip “Shop Late. Stuff Early.” sales event at the Apple Store Friday night and came away with the giveaway magnetic poetry set designed by Rex Ray, and you’re wondering what to do with your sudden poetic impulses. (“I LOVE the digital surf” and so on.) Easy! Send your best poetry here to the PowerPage (e-mail me directly), and we’ll run the best selections we get.

The results will be carefully judged by the PowerPage staff for originality and poetic skill. Major bonus points to anyone who is able to use every one of the magnetic words included with the set. (So in other words, we’re looking for a multiple-line poem here.) IMPORTANT: Only poems constructed from the magnetic words included in the Apple retail store’s giveaway will be eligible! (Thanks to those of you who have sent other stuff, but that wasn’t exactly the idea!)

Thanks to John Grzeskowiak at RadTech, we’re able to offer an exclusive prize: a personalized Sleevz case emblazoned with your name, and a logo’d ScreensaveRz screen protector. Be sure to include your mailing address and what laptop model you have for your prizes. (iBook/PowerBook G4 only. Don’t have one, let us know, we’ll find you an alternate prize.)
