Apple is offering a free seminar on portable audio production featuring the PowerBook G4. Apple says the workshop will cover new microphones and “portable mixers” (including the US-428 control surface / audio interface which Go2Mac is reviewing next month), with a focus on recording, editing, and “sweetening” soundtracks for video with apps like Peak, Deck, and Final Cut Pro. Interestingly, Apple is focusing this on sound production for film; Apple has often been slow to see audio and music as a separate and vibrant market.
