Again, MacWhispers is insisting that the IBM PPC 970 chip production is underway — and slated for a Powerbook release is “rapidly ramped into actual production” with “actual assembly line operations expected to commence ‘this week, in volume.'”

All I can say is that I’m more excited about this particular PowerBook than about any other PowerBook model released in the last couple of years. I think this new aluminum 15.4-inch PowerBook is going to be a huge hit with portable Mac users. If this is, in fact, occurring then all I can say is: WAY TO GO, APPLE!
