Apple releases iOS 9.0.1 update

This is probably worth snagging.

And, with any luck, it’ll take care of some of the larger issues users have been having.

On Wednesday, Apple released iOS 9.0.1. The update, a 34.2 megabyte download (or 1 gigabyte download from a pre-iOS 9.0 version), offers the following fixes and changes:

– Fixes an issue where some users could not complete setup after updating.

– Fixes an issue where sometimes alarms and timers could fail to play.

– Fixes an issue in Safari and Photos where pausing video could cause the paused frames to appear distorted.

– Fixes an issue where some users with a custom APN setup via a profile would lose cellular data.

The iOS update is available over the air and via iTunes.

If you’ve tried iOS 9.0.1 and have any feedback to offer, please let us know in the comments.

The 9.0 update has caused my iPad to crash on several apps including Safari. I hoped the 9.0.1 would fix it but seems to be still happening
