Apple releases iOS 9.2.1, OS X 10.11.3 updates

They’re not huge updates according to Apple, but they could make a difference.

Apple on Tuesday released iOS 9.2.1 and OS X 10.11.3, the company stating that both updates contain security and bug fixes.

More specifically, iOS 9.2.1 contains a fix for an issue “that could prevent the completion of app installation when using an MDM server.”

The iOS 9.2.1 update weighs in at about 41MB and can be installed over the air or by connecting your iOS device to your Mac and running iTunes.

The OS X 10.11.3 update weighs in around 600MB and can be downloaded and installed through OS X’s App Store feature, wherein the user clicks on the “Updates” tab to locate and install the update.

These updates put the devices one step closer to the major changes that will be introduced in iOS 9.3, which are said to include Night Shift, new features in Notes, and new features geared towards education. OS X 10.11.4 includes support for Live Photos, other enhancements.
