Right, it’s not a huge update, but Apple’s Airport Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule received mild updates on Tuesday. The two devices are now certified to the 802.11n specification (not draft-n), and along with this certification come improvements in antenna design, which promises 50% better Wi-Fi performance and 25% better range. Per the cool cats at The Unofficial Apple Weblog, the units feature extra range via a more optimized antenna design.
The price remains the same at US$179 for the Airport Express Base Sation, US$299 for the 1TB Time Capsule and US$499 for the 2TB Time Capsule.
