Apple Retail: Installation Costs Extra

I just went to the Apple Store in the Glendale Galleria (Glendale, CA) to buy and Airport Base Station and two Airport cards for my two Ti PowerBooks. I was going to have them install the cards because I didn’t want to deal with getting the back cover on. (I have heard that it is a pain).

They wanted US$25 per computer in intall the cards! Call me crazy but if I am spending US$500 on hardware they should be happy to install the cards for free. My usual Apple dealer in Pasadena would be more than happy to do it for free. This is no way for Apple to build a customer base.
