Our friends over at MacWhispers say that the new IBM 970 chip will be in the forthcoming Aluminum PowerBook 15.4-inch system?
I, for one, am fed up with peeling paint issues on every Titanium I’ve owned. I’d be happy with aluminum instead of painted titanium any day. But, getting a new chip inside, one that supposedly will run much cooler and snappier, would be the icing on the cake.
Let’s all start digging around for that spare change in the sofa or polishing up our trusty old credit cards. I’ll be one of the first to buy that system…it sounds awesome!
The PowerPage thinks it unlikely that Apple would debut the 970 in a portable before a desktop, but we’d certainly love it!
