Apple Watch hits Self magazine, makes its U.S. cover debut

It had to happen sometime.

A few months after being featured on the cover of Vogue China, the upcoming Apple Watch made its U.S. debut on the cover of Self magazine this month with cover model Candice Swanepoel wearing the Sport Edition of the device.

From Self:

Considering Swanepoel’s athletic prowess, it was an ideal accessory for her sporty cover shoot. She told SELF, “I’m an athlete. I use every single muscle, especially my core and arms, when I pose. It’s so important for me to feel strong!”

Call it what you will, but she just seems to be leaning a bit for the cover image while wearing the Apple Watch. This isn’t exactly extreme power yoga in incredibly adverse conditions. It’s standing upright and leaning a bit.

Nor is she rappelling off a building as part of a covert operation to finally take down Mendoza and save the city from his evil gang of thugs.

She’s just standing and leaning.

Either way, the Apple Watch was announced late last year and is scheduled to go on sale this April.
