Mac OS Tones for Your Phone
MacOSTones.com has collected over 100 original Mac OS sounds and lovingly turned them into MP3 files for your mobile phone. OS X, System 7, eWorld, Newton and more. It's basically every Mac sound ever plus 70+ custom Mac style ringers ready for your mobile phone. Downloads are free to transfer by Bluetooth. They're also providing Over The Air (OTA) downloads by WAP Push for compatibility with most phones. They're charging US$9.95 per month for the 'over the air' service.

Maybe I got it wrong but it seems you have to pay to get the initial download before you are able to send it over bluetooth.

Er, I think you misunderstood that...
All files (MP3s) are available to download to your computer for free (apart from a few specially created 'ringers'). If you have Bluetooth, you are welcome to download the MP3 files to your computer (for free) and transfer them to your phone yourself via Bluetooth (for free). (You need to know how to transfer via Bluetooth, but it's easy on a Mac.
The site doesn't charge for content; you only pay for an 'Over the Air' download account which gets you as many OTA downloads (which are WAP Push messages containing a link to the file) as you like (if you don't have Bluetooth for example).

am i the only one that gets a shiver down his spine hearing that Macintel one
someone please tell me that is an imaginary startup sound, not something i should expect on my next mac.

The Macintel is joke Jim Heid made it up to freak some people out. Anyway I guess we find out for sure later today : )
