Ariston Announces a Slew of USB Goodies

Ariston Technology added four new products yesterday to their ranks of USB goodies. First up is the “iSee” digital camera, which allows you to do “high quality motion & still picture capturing, saving, printing, and playing, Video Conferencing, Video Mail, and Security Monitoring” on your iMac via USB. Keen gear. The iSee looks remarkably similar to Par Technologies’ Irez Kritter camera for laptops.

If you want to add an 8mm lens or a wide-angle 3.6mm lens to your iSee camera to keep an eye on your neighbors, Ariston is also offering a bundle of add-on fruit-flavored lenses called the “iRis.” Just unscrew the current lens and screw on a new lens.

The “iView” is a USB video/still image capture device that lets you digitize still frames or video on your iMac. Digitize your favorite Springer clips and email them to your friends. The iView can capture at 30 frames-per-second, but only at 160 x 120 resolution.

Still maintaining that “i” naming scheme, the “iFloppy” is your common USB floppy drive. No extra bells or whistles.

All of the mentioned Ariston products sport snazzy translucent plastics. No word yet on their web site about pricing or availability.
