The article focuses on the video subsystems in PC notebooks but it still offers insight into the future to PowerBook video. The Rev. b (550 and 667 MHz) PowerBook G4s use the ATi Radeon Mobility (AGP 4X, 16MB DDR RAM) chipset while the iBook Dual USB uses the ATi RAGE Mobility 128 (AGP 2X, 8MB SDRAM). The two PowerBooks are some of the last Macs to keep ATi video over Apple’s new flame, nVIDIA.

It’s not exactly an apples to apples comparison, since the two systems differed in system Ram, bus speed, different amounts of Video Ram, etc. but the article is still interesting for the performance comparisons, image quality, FSAA and power usage notes.
