Blizzard and Logicware to Rock the Expo

According to IMG, Blizzard Entertainment and Logicware announced their involvement in the National Macintosh Gaming Championship, which will take place at Macworld Expo NYC in July. Here’s the appropriate details:

Blizzard Entertainment has announced their participation in the National Macintosh Gaming Championship for the first time since its inception in 1998. Starcraft will be played as an individual and a 2-player team contest. Also available for the first time will be Warcraft II and Diablo!

Logicware has today announced that they have clearance from Activision to include Quake II in the Championship. Quake II will be played as an individual and and a 2-player team contest.

These are in addition to a boatload of other Macintosh games. Registration is free for the tournaments, provided you can get yourself into Macworld Expo NYC somehow, and there are over US$25,000 in prizes.
