If you have an iMac and want to burn CDs, you have two ways to go: internal, or external. Internal drives replace the built-in CD-ROM drive in your iMac, while external drives connect via USB and let you keep your old CD-ROM drive. While we haven’t had any experience with any of these drives, check with these Web sites:
- Sony Spressa USB CD-RW. Also, take a look at their CD technology overview
- Que’s CD-RW Drive for iMac
- Techworks Power CDR
Another option, getting a SCSI mezzanine slot card, is only available to early iMacs, and we aren’t sure if you can get that card anymore.
