It isn’t specific to Macs, but online retailer Amazon.com is offering its customers a deal if they buy a new desktop or laptop computer (including Macs). The company will give you a promotional certificate if you buy a new system, up to $200.

Through March 1, 2003, Amazon.com is offering customers a $200 promotional certificate — sent by e-mail — good on a future purchase at Amazon.com. The certificate is issued to buyers of systems that cost more than $2,000, so if there’s a 1.42GHz dual-processor Power Mac G4 or a 17-inch PowerBook on your shopping list, this could be an incentive.
