Mailbag – An all G4 Macworld Expo?

Go2Mac receives a high volume of email on a daily basis – especially when a new sighting (Sex and the City) or code-name (Tessera) emerges. Our email volume gets even higher in the Calm Before the Storm period leading up to Macworld Expo. During this time, many of you like to weigh in with predictions and prognostication about what SJ will announce when he graces the stage at Macworld on 18 July 2001.

That said, I could not resist this little nugget. But before you read on, the usual caveats apply, this IS NOT my or Go2Mac’s prediction – it is simply a reader contribution that is out there but worth thinking about.

It is far too soon for Apple to go all G4 with the Mac product line, especially in light of the iBook Dual USB’s recent announcement and the power still remaining to be eked out of the IBM 750CXi (G3) processor.
