This might be worth snagging.

1Password for iOS has been updated, version 5.5 allowing users access to a Touch ID button under the Master Password field so you can choose to sign in using your finger print even if you accidentally hit cancel on the first request. Tapping the fingerprint button prompts the system Touch ID unlock screen.

The new version also features an improvement to how the app can stay unlocked between uses in different apps. Previously 1Password’s extension in other apps required being unlocked by password, passcode, or Touch ID each time. Now, the 1Password extension and 1Password app share the same unlock time limits.

iOS 9 will add transit directions to its Maps service, the new data including schedules for buses, trains, subways, and ferries and will be available in 10 cities at launch later this year.

To answer the question as to where the transit data is coming from, Apple has updated its Apple Maps Acknowledgements webpage with a breakdown of where transit data from each city is coming.

The site reveals that the data will hail from twenty different sources, with each source providing data for a single city in most cases. For instance, three different sources are contributing transit data for Berlin and three other sources are contributing to San Francisco transit data. Some sources include Flixbus, Metrolinx, and MiWay. The full list of sources can be seen on the Acknowledgements webpage here.

This could be nifty.

Apple is reportedly conducting internal testing to see if it can allow Siri to transcribe your voicemail messages into text, so that you can read them rather than having to listen to them.

The feature, if successful, will allow Siri to take your iCloud Voicemail messages as opposed to having them go to a standard digital audio recorder.

This is pretty interesting.

Yahoo has released its LiveText app, an app that streams video without audio and allows you to send text, icons and emoji. The thought behind this is that the expressiveness of the video makes the conversation more authentic and adds to the nuances that may be missing from a standard text-based conversation via a device.
