With the next wave of camera, video, pda, wifi phones hitting the market… what happens to all of the formerly snazzy

I was toying around with my new iPod (3.0) the other day and i selected “playlists” from the main menu, and instead of the new column coming in from the right (as usual), it came in from the bottom. i almost flipped my lid, i couldn’t believe it. of course i could not get it to repeat this and it’s not an option in “settings”. it could very well be a slight bug in the new iPod OS or a disabled feature but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to customize the column view like that? hmmm…
The commercials for Nic and the little kid singing the Eminem song are noo longer on the Apple site. Could not locate anywhere as either. Wonder if people took offense to the ads. I seem to recall that the Sir Mix-A-Lot video for Baby Got Back was banned from MTV and such.
So I have this 14″ iBook. Nice and quiet other than the HD. Now I have this new 17″ PowerBook. *HISS HISS HISS* I feel like I’m living with Salazar Slytherin! I know people keep saying “this is normal”. So here’s what I want to know? Why doesn’t it hiss if I reduce the CPU performance!? Is anyone else annoyed as hell with this!? Ed: Unfortunately, we don’t have the comments system up yet so we can’t have an open discussion on this. If anyone else is having this experience or could explain why this is happening in the first place, post a story to the Newswire. -PK
