I am going to be traveling soon and I would like your opinion on the BEST digital camera for PowerBook travelers (I own a G4 800MHZ PB Titanium with 60GB and Max RAM).
I’ve noticed you’ve showcased a number of cameras over the years, but would like your opinion on the recent BEST. Should I buy one that uses Firewire or USB/USB2, memory stick or something else? (etc).
I plan to be traveling to Asia this summer and need a good, affordable digital camera with good overall features. I had a Sony Mavica the last time I went over a few years ago, and it was great because I could transfer to my Wallstreet 300MHZ via floppies, but the picture quality (1200X680?) was not all that great.
Any suggestions (and why) would help me greatly.
Thanks for your help.
John

I have a Ti 400 and I managed to convince my wife and a friend to each buy one of the early model TiBooks. I never had the intermittent disconnect battery problem, but recently found the battery fell out while in my TiBag. I picked up my wife’s the other day and the battery fell out. My friend says hers falls out on occasion. Read more . . .

The 28 May 2003 potential launch date for the new Aluminum PowerBook 15-inch has come and gone without an announcement, so it appears that there is still enough inventory of existing Titanium PB15s to justify the delay. The big question now becomes timing. Will Steve Jobs wait until WWDC (23-26 June) and break his vow of “not announcing products at WWDC?” Tough to say. The PowerPage is betting on a special event between now and then, Friday the 13th anyone?
Biggest questions are the feature set on the new PB15. Read More…

A deal on CompUSA’s Web site would indicate that the new PowerBooks can’t be too far off. The PowerBook G4 667MHz (256MB/30GB/Combo) which was originally US$2499 is down to US$1499 today. Updated: CompUSA is sold out of this PowerBook.
