This is kind of a cool thing that most people may not know about, and I also have a question as well. My friend has a G4 tower, I can’t remember the speed at the moment. When she sets her desktop picture to change every five seconds, it’s a very nice looking fade from picture to picture.
I wanted to do the same thing, so I came home and tried it on my Rev. A 500mhz TiBook. I was sadly dissapointed to find that I have no such slick fade, just an abrupt change. It’s still a cool effect, but nowhere near as slick looking as the fade. I don’t know the reason why, probably something to do with the video hardware, but it’s a neat trick nevertheless. Does anyone know why this does not work on the TiBook?
