Comic LifeComicblogging is here: Plasq‘s new Comic Life takes images from your iPhoto library (or other image files) and converts them into beautiful full-color comic books. Just drag the images into a variety of pre-set layouts, add captions, speech/thought bubbles, and sound effects (POW!), and you’re done. You can share the images via the Web, .Mac, email, print them via iPhoto Kodak printing, or even publish an RSS feed.
I got the scoop as a regular reader of createdigitalmusic is one of the developers, so I’ve been playing with this for a couple of days. The app is simply incredible. It’s elegant and utterly Mac-like, with an iLife-style interface. Even cool sound effects (creaking and whooshing) as you manipulate elements, which should be annoying, are strangely fun.
