Several PowerPage readers have been telling us of some undesirable side effects of installing the DVD-ROM Update 1.0, such as trashed hard disks and inability to select a region code other than region 1. The standard upgrade warning applies here: don’t install the update unless you have a specific problem that is fixed by the update.
