It seems like nobody can get enough of the iPod, including manufacturers such as e.Digital who have taken matters into their own hands to create the Odyssey 1000. The Odyssey 1000 is a 20GB MP3 player that looks very similar to the iPod and can hold around 4,000 songs. It boasts compatibility with both PC and Mac computers, includes an FM radio, built-in microphone for voice recording and a number of other features.
The Odyssey 1000 is scheduled for release this fall for a price of US$249. It seems just as great as the iPod except for the use of USB 2.0 instead of FireWire. Even still, do I smell a lawsuit coming on? Where’s the Apple Execs when you need them the most?
