The new version, a 7.5 megabyte download, adds the following fixes and changes:
-Added support for Windows Media 9 Advanced playback.
-Added support for reclaiming file types assumed by other applications.
-Improved ASX handling.
-Improved support for MPEG 4 playback.
-Resolved some issues related to 2pass VBR encoding.
-Resolved manual activation issue.
-Resolved Helix streaming server playback issue.
-Resolved Save as and Save As QuickTime Movie issue on OS 10.3.9/QT 7.1.2 systems.
-Resolved potential for crash when playing back files that have been deliberately modified/damaged.
-Improved support for installation using Apple Remote Desktop.
Flip4Mac is coded as a Universal Binary and runs at native speeds on both PowerPC and Intel-based hardware. The application requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and QuickTime 6.5.1 or later to run.
Take a test run with the new version and if you have any comments, positive or negative, let us know.
