To date:
-SyQuest EZ 135 drive back in 1995. Windows 95 had just been released and a friend who worked on the school newspaper and I thought that in Microsoft's new days of "Plug and Play", we might be able to share a SCSI drive between his HP laptop and my PowerBook 145B. Upon discovering that the parallel cable fit the SCSI port perfectly, we ran Windows 95's "Find New Hardware" feature.
The smoke arrived about 10 minutes later.
Somehow, SyQuest replaced the drive for free.
-Apple ColorSync monitor. Surge protectors are a good thing.
Anyone out there have a good story?
