My real question is which one eats up more system resources? Anyone run them side by side to compare?

This was on the previous revision and not the one just released, but I couldn't get Parallels to successfully boot off a Windows install CD and even begin installation.

Anyone else have this problem and does the newest build take care of it?

VMWare wins hands down. I've been using Parallels since the pre-realease and just tried VM about 2 weeks ago.

I cannot run Parallels for an extended period of time as it will eat up all available memory. I've had VM open for the past two days with no real significant memory loss. It's way more stable, unity (its version of coherence) works well. I also find it a lot more user friendly getting to programs when in unity as opposed to coherence.

I'm a switcher.
