iPhone bugs re: podcast #53
re: podcast #53
I chose Crickets as my iPhone Ringtone as well, mainly for two excellent reasons...
It is the loudest, and easiest to hear of any of them, to these particular ears. across situations from the iPhones built in speaker, while at the same time, providing a bit of stealth... unless you are already familiar with the ringtone, you are not likely to think someones cell phone is going off.
So what could be the downside?
Well, actual crickets coming into the house. I really don't think the iPhone brought them in, merely the weather, but I have become conditioned to jump for the iPhone when I hear crickets chirp now, and sometimes, Little Jeminy jerks me around, it isn't the phone at all.
Or someone on a podcast does the jerking. Really, pleaase don't audition ringtones unannounced during a podcast with a high number of listeners using the iPhone (or even imitate them), because the phone grab reflex is down in the lizard brain, and you are going to cause someone to look at their iPhone, without needing to.
By the way, during your podcast, there were also a couple of odd blips during the podcast, they appear for the second time about 19 minutes and 42 seconds to 19:33 seconds from the end. Drip Drip. Sounds like a system alert of sorts, but not one from Tiger.
