You may remember our previous stories (spam, virii) about the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) initiative to combat SPAM by having users forward unsolicited commercial email to uce@ftc.gov, well it appears to be making a difference. C|Net is reporting that “its first major joint effort to crack down on illegal spam, the Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday that it has busted dozens of alleged Web scammers in conjunction with law enforcement from six U.S. states and Canada.”
