Ghetto Accessory Tricks: CheapSleeve 1.0

One handy item: with the Boblbee backpack that I’m using, as with many other backpacks, the TiBook or iBook slides in. That caused one of my Ti’s to loose a rubber foot. Sounds silly, but those books can’t live without them! (Apple rep: please send in your PowerBook for repair… Yeah, right). So I figured I needed a simple sleeve to pack it in, before sliding it into the backpack. Guess what? Almost every expensive leather handbag comes in a gorgeous sleeve. Many of the handbag buyers don’t need those, so the two fine leather stores that I checked had tons of them. For free! Keeps the book from loosing feet and getting scratched. My sleeve says it’s made in Paris, but hey, you could turn it inside out, too!

Ed: Works for me, although I’m currently evaluating a solution I can’t tell you about just yet . . . stay tuned. 🙂 In the meantime, I always love cheap tricks! -PK
