iBook Triumphs Over Windoze in Consulting Firm

Funny thing:

So I’m sitting in a board room on the tenth floor of a skyscraper in downtown Chicago right now, typing into my “cute looking” blue iBook. I’m in a consulting firm (who is adamantly against wireless) surrounded by serious-looking Windows PCs. Right now there are two highly trained professionals crawling under tables trying to get a network connection for their laptops, but it’s not working.

I, on the other hand, just opened my iBook’s AirPort control panel and found three networks. The first one I tried was nice enough to allow me in and give me an Internet connection and an IP address. I don’t know if it’s coming from the building next door, or what. I don’t care; I’m on the net.

Suddenly, nobody’s making fun of the funny colors of the iBook anymore. The guy next to me got out his wireless card and popped it into his Dell, but he can’t get a connection.

I say nothing, and let my surfing do the talking. One more reason that Apple rules.
