Intel still fighting to address Meltdown, Spectre issues, rethinking how processors are produced

The struggle against Meltdown and Spectre continues over at Intel.

As such, Wired has a piece covering an elite team at Intel working to address the security vulnerabilities that affected millions of devices through Intel’s processor architecture.

Per the article:

Throughout 2018, researchers inside and outside Intel continued to find exploitable weaknesses related to this class of “speculative execution” vulnerabilities. Fixing many of them takes not just software patches, but conceptually rethinking how processors are made.
