Qualcomm pdQ Smartphone

Based on the Palm Computing platform, Qualcomm’s new pdQ Smartphone features a built-in Palm organizer with wireless Internet access.

In related news Qualcomm announced plans for a family of Mobile Station Modems (MSM) that will enable a new breed of portable Internet access devices to deliver expanded data capabilities and advanced wireless Internet services.

Nokia 8860

The Nokia 8860 is scheduled to ship in October 1999. By definition the 8860 is a tri-band phone meant for Analog/TDMA digital cellular nationwide network and as such it will probabaly not include Internet functionality. There may be a 8850 or 8890 for CDMA PCS or GSM that may include a microbrowser however…
